The population of the Netherlands grew by approximately 140,000 inhabitants last year, taking the total over 17.9 million, according to preliminary figures from Statistics Netherlands (CBS). The population growth fell by over 36 percent compared to 2022, when there was a net increase of 221,000 inhabitants.
